Sam Steele Days! Kick off Pancake Breakfast!

Sam Steele Days! Kick off Pancake Breakfast!

Start Sam Steele Days the right way! Tamarack Centre, in collaboration with Cranbrook’s Royal Canadian Army Cadets, is proud to announce that we will be hosting the annual Sam Steele Kick Off Pancake Breakfast, Thursday, June 14th from 8:00 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Winners entrance.

Formally known as the Fort Steele Company, the Army Cadet movement has been a part of the Cranbrook community for over 76 years and is one of the oldest Cadet Corps in BC. The Army Cadet program is a free program offered to youth ages 12-19. Although the Army Cadet’s receive some funding, they rely heavily on volunteers and fundraising initiatives such as the Sam Steele Days Kick Off Breakfast. Last year’s breakfast was a huge success. People lined-up early to enjoy a complete breakfast including pancakes, sausages, fruit sauce, whipped cream, tea, coffee, and juice. We raised over $1700 and served approximately 375 people. Tamarack and Save-On-Foods bear the entire expense so all monies raised goes to the cadets. Tamarack Centre is proud to sponsor the Cranbrook Army Cadet’s in their efforts to prepare today’s youth to be the leaders of tomorrow. Rather than having to cook and cleanup breakfast for your family, treat them to a delicious breakfast at Tamarack Centre!! While you’re enjoying breakfast be sure you purchase your 2017 Sam Steele button, meet this year’s Sweetheart candidates, and enjoy entertainment from the Fort Steele actors.

This will be the start to a busy and amazing summer. Tamarack Centre has been working hard to serve you better and the property is undergoing some major renovations. We look forward to sharing the end result with the community at our Grand Reopening. Watch for upcoming details!!
