The Tamarack Centre’s Annual Cops for Kids Jail & Bail fundraising event is coming on Wednesday September 13, 2023 and we’re hoping that you’ll support this very worthy cause.
Cops for Kids is an active group of RCMP officers and friends who raise funds to give back to the communities where they live and work. The focus of these funds is to assist children in crisis. A small regional foundation since 2007, Cops for Kids has now reviewed over 3,000 applications, totaling over $6,000,000.00.
On Wednesday September 13th , members of our community will voluntarily arrange to be arrested and then released when their bail is raised. Tamarack Centre covers all operating costs and advertising for the day to ensure that the Cops for Kids foundation doesn’t incur any expense and 100% of the funds raised will be used to assist local families. This event will feature ongoing media updates, photo and networking opportunities, prizes, refreshments, as well as an ongoing parade of local celebrity ‘felons’ raising bail to support their release from the slammer. Cops for Kids is an organization of RCMP members and staff both past and present who raise funds to support children with medical issues throughout our region.
In 2022 Cops for Kids assisted over 340 families and already in 2023 they have assisted 310 families in just over 7 months!
Cops for Kids needs our help and that is why we’re happy to offer you event sponsorship. We hope that you will take this opportunity to support Cops for Kids with a cash donation (aka Bribe) in lieu of a trip to the cage.
